A smiling man sitting on a bench indoors, wearing a cream-colored shirt, gray pants, and sneakers, with a backpack and a pillow nearby, a window behind him, and framed botanical artwork on the wall.

Zeyad Mourad obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the American University in Cairo.

During that time, he practiced psychotherapy in his role as an intern at the AUC’s Psychological Counseling Services and Training Center, and at Serenity Psychology Center.

Additionally, he participated in supervision and discussion sessions at Rakhawy Mental Hospital. Zeyad has led workshops on anxiety, self-esteem, and chronic discomfort.

Zeyad has completed training in Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Polyvagal Therapy, Anxiety, CBT, DBT, and ACT, both in-person and online.

Zeyad is committed to fostering a compassionate environment of trust for his clients, where they can express themselves without fear of judgment. He cares about providing them with support as well as with a listening ear.

Previously, he served as an independent communications consultant and held various positions in public and corporate affairs, public relations, and marketing, primarily with multinational corporations active in Egypt. Additionally, he has served as a diplomat for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Zeyad believes in creating a trusting and supportive therapeutic alliance. He tailors his approach to meet each client’s needs, integrating relational, behavioral, and somatic techniques to foster healing and self-awareness. He is particularly interested in supporting clients through life transitions, identity challenges, chronic stress, and emotional pain. For Zeyad, therapy is a mutual journey for both, client and therapist by creating a safe space of understanding and empathy.
