Dalia El Serafy, M.A.
Dalia El Serafy is a Psychotherapist, Educator, and the Founder and Director of Lotus Therapy, a psychology and psychotherapy center in Cairo. She holds a BA in Psychology from the American University in Cairo (AUC), which she obtained in 2013, and an MA in Counseling Psychology from AUC, completed in 2016.
Dalia has been practicing psychotherapy for over 10 years, working with both individuals and couples, including adolescents and adults. Her clinical experience spans a wide range of concerns, including depression and anxiety, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, emotional and interpersonal difficulties, relationship concerns, self-esteem and self-image, anger management, and questions around identity and personal development.
Alongside her clinical work, Dalia is deeply passionate about education and professional development. Since 2021, she has been an Adjunct Faculty member at AUC, where she teaches psychology to undergraduate students.
Dalia is also currently pursuing a Diploma in Psychosexual and Relational Therapy, further developing her clinical work in the areas of sexuality, intimacy, and relational dynamics.
As a clinician, Dalia takes an integrative approach to psychotherapy, drawing from humanistic, interpersonal, emotion-focused, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives. She places particular value on the therapeutic relationship and on understanding each client within the context of their relationships, experiences, and broader lives. She believes that effective psychotherapy is not simply about alleviating symptoms, but about developing greater self-understanding, creating meaningful change, and building a more fulfilling and authentic life.
